NIH Community Engagement Alliance (CEAL) Against COVID-19 Disparities
Overview of Study Aims
There are 11 sites in CA, we are one of them. For our local study we are concentrating on the Latinx community and working with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Community Health Workers or promotaras embedded in CBOs to leverage their roles as trusted sources of information, assess local needs, and develop strategies with local partners that address misinformation, vaccine hesitancy, and improve COVID-19 responses and efforts. We are also working with ongoing Stanford vaccine trials on recruitment efforts. Moreover, we will be launching social media campaigns regarding educational messages for around prevention, transmission, and eventually COVID-19 vaccines and testing the impact of various kinds of messaging strategies.
