T-32 Cancer Training Grant Program

The Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at Stanford University is excited to announce the recruitment of doctoral students for our newly funded T32 Cancer Training Grant. This unique program aims to develop the next generation of cross-disciplinary cancer genetic epidemiologists equipped with the skills to excel in multidisciplinary teams. Our graduates will be prepared to advance the understanding of cancer causes and disparities, ultimately providing critical insights for prevention and treatment of this complex disease.

- Fully Funded: Trainees receive full funding while earning a doctoral degree at Stanford, including:
- Full tuition in the PhD program in Epidemiology and Clinical Research
- A stipend
- Full coverage of Cardinal Care health insurance (four quarters per academic year)
- Additional funding for conference travel and childcare costs
Who Should Apply?
We invite passionate and motivated candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. We strongly encourage applicants from underrepresented populations to apply, as we aim to foster a diverse and inclusive cohort.
- Academic Excellence: Strong academic performance, particularly in quantitative coursework (e.g., statistics, data analysis), with demonstrated proficiency in quantitative methods.
- Research Interest: Background or interest in genetics, environmental factors, and other cancer-related fields.
- Team-Oriented: Experience working in interdisciplinary teams or a demonstrated interest in cross-disciplinary collaborations is essential.
- Commitment: Applicants must be prepared to engage in full-time, multidisciplinary training throughout their studies.
