Cue-Centered Therapy

Policies and Pricing

Instructions for accessing your courses will be included in your confirmation email. Registration for the Foundations of Cue-Centered Therapy and the Advanced Theory and Practice of Cue-Centered Therapy courses is considered complete when you have completed the entire process and received a printable confirmation page and an email confirmation. Registration for the  Applications of Cue-Centered Therapy course is considered pending until the CCT Training Program team review your registration and supporting materials (a copy of your license and a signed Case Consultation Agreement Form). 

Drops and Refunds

In order to receive a full refund, you must cancel your registration by 5:00pm Pacific at least 7 days prior to the first class meeting. After 7 days prior, no refunds are available. The Cue-Centered Therapy Training Program does not prorate course enrollment fees for courses dropped after they have begun and cannot apply the funds to future courses. Drop and refund requests must be made in writing by sending an email to CCT-Training@stanford.edu.

Course Cancellation

The Cue-Centered Therapy Training Program reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason, including insufficient enrollment. If CCT cancels a course, you will be offered enrollment in another course at that same level or a full refund.

*Stanford Affiliates meeting certain criteria are eligible to receive a discount on course enrollment fees. To receive the discount, Stanford Affiliates must have completed (or be currently undergoing) training and consultation with Stanford Faculty. In addition, all Stanford Faculty and staff who meet the criteria for enrollment in CCT courses are eligible for the Stanford Affiliate discount.

Course Schedules and Registration

Course 1: Foundations of Cue-Centered Therapy

Learn the theoretical rationale, goals, therapeutic techniques, and resources for each session of the intervention in an engaging, self-paced, online format. Learn to recognize the clinical presentations of complex trauma and associate cues to symptoms, emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and physical feelings. Importantly, you will be able to engage your clients while building empowerment.

The Foundations of Cue-Centered Therapy course provides continuing education credits and takes approximately 6 hours to complete. The online course is available in English and Spanish.

ACCREDITATION

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

CREDIT DESIGNATION

Course 2: Advanced Theory and Practice of Cue-Centered Therapy

Building on the foundation established in Course 1, you will be practicing CCT in small groups after delving more deeply into the theories underpinning the protocol. Bring a case from your own practice for role-playing and discussion in small groups. At the end of the course, you will understand how to incorporate CCT into your practice and address challenges that may arise in treating youth with complex trauma.

Prerequisites for the Theory and Practice of Cue-Centered Therapy:

  • Completion of Course 1: Foundations of Cue-Centered Therapy
  • Review of the Cue-Centered Therapy Manual
     

The 8-hour Advanced Theory and Practice of Cue-Centered Therapy course provides continuing education credits. 

If you are interested in taking the Applications of Cue-Centered Therapy: Case Consultations course following an Advanced Theory and Practice course, we recommend identifying clients early so that you are ready to begin their treatment when the case consultations course begins.

Course 3: Applications of Cue-Centered Therapy: Case Consultations

To successfully complete the Applications course, you will need to apply CCT with a minimum of two clients. We recommend identifying four clients for treatment in case one of your clients discontinues treatment during the course.

Prerequisites for the Applications of Cue-Centered Therapy Case Consultations course:

  • Completion of Course 1: Foundations of Cue-Centered Therapy and Course 2: Advanced Theory and Practice of Cue-Centered Therapy 
  • Review of the Cue-Centered Therapy Manual
  • Proof of licensure in a mental health or related field and a Case Consultation Agreement form will be collected after enrollment in this course
