We are excited to announce that our Stanford Medicine EdTech team is inviting applications for the Instructional Designer II position.  This role will be responsible for collaborating with faculty to design and implement effective learning solutions spanning various domains of medical education, catering to a diverse client population, with a primary focus on working with research experts to design and develop learning solutions to support the overall research administration curriculum across Stanford Medicine.  This is a two-year, fixed-term position.

The Learning Technology Specialist supports the integration of technology into teaching, learning, and/or research activities. The specialist consults with faculty and instructional designers to determine technology needs and provides assistance in the direct integration of technology into curricula at Stanford Medicine. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Canvas, Docebo, LearnDash, EdX, and Coursera, and demonstrate a keen interest in leveraging platforms to enhance educational outcomes. This role will also develop projects that may utilize APIs and coding languages, such as HTML, JavaScript, C++,  and Python. This role explores the evolving field of education technology and assists in the implementation and support of universal design for learning. The Learning Technology Specialist participates in the research and development of resources for classroom-based and online use of technology, and participates in or leads projects to develop innovative uses of technology for learning, research and/or community building.  This is a hybrid role, with occasional engagement and support occurring across campus learning spaces. The Learning Design and Evaluation Director at Stanford Medicine is a leadership role that advances the institution's educational mission through the robust design, delivery, and evaluation of medical education programs. The director is responsible for managing learning design and educational content delivery to a broad range of stakeholders including faculty, students, clinicians, patients, and healthcare professionals. This position is responsible for appropriate staffing, staff management, and performance management. This position coordinates with existing systems and departments, utilizing advanced data visualization and learning analytics to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. The role will lead efforts in research, evaluation methodologies, data visualization, and the integration of technology solutions to support data-driven decision-making. The director will oversee the design, implementation, and continual enhancement of systems and methodologies that monitor, report, and drive the effectiveness of educational outcomes, aligning them with Stanford Medicine’s strategic goals. This is a hybrid role, with engagement occurring across campuses. Stanford EdTech is working with Stanford Medicine’s LGBTQ Health Program to create an interactive learning experience that teaches healthcare students and professionals how to optimize transgender and gender-diverse patient care.
We are currently in development of a visual interactive graphic novel. The project is using the python-based Ren’Py game engine, and we are seeking a developer who can help us finish this project. This developer will be instrumental in scripting our project, ensuring the game logic supports an immersive learning experience which tracks player behavior and functions well as a web-based software.

Stanford EdTech is working with Stanford Medicine’s LGBTQ Health Program to create an interactive learning experience that teaches healthcare students and professionals how to optimize transgender and gender-diverse patient care.
We are looking for a user-interface designer who will work with us to built out a complete UI design for our web-based visual novel game, titled, Optimizing Transgender Care. This designer will work in Figma to complete our design style guide foundations, taking cues from existing UI design concept work, wireframe prototypes of the entire project, and a visual style guide for a previous, related project.

We are seeking 4 trans and/or nonbinary comic artists to create short graphic novel vignettes about a cast of trans and nonbinary characters. Please provide a portfolio for review, with relevant work samples included. Strong preference will be given to artists with demonstrated graphic novel/storytelling expertise.
