Thyroid Eye Disease (TED)
In 2019, we featured a thyroid eye disease (TED) patient story in our inaugural annual department magazine about Peggy Kixmoeller. TED is an autoimmune disorder where the body mistakenly attacks healthy cells, specifically the thyroid gland and the tissues around the eye. Below are some photos from the process.
