Maria Frantz is an experienced strategy, communications, and marketing professional with a track record of working with business leaders across technology, biotech, education and financial services. As Managing Partner of Hat Trick Communications, which she co-founded in 2012, Maria partners with executives to develop effective communications strategies and tools for strategic planning, fundraising, sales, and business development. In the last 5 years, Maria has worked with over 150 different organizations, including SaaS businesses, novel therapeutics and medical device companies, venture capital firms, and educational institutions. At Stanford Medicine, Maria has partnered with strategy leaders to assist in the development of the Precision Health vision, Integrated Strategic Plan, and many other key initiatives. Previously, Maria was a partner with Stone Communications, a management consultant with Gemini Consulting and an investment banking analyst with Goldman, Sachs & Co. Maria earned her M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.A. cum laude in Economics and Managerial Studies from Rice University. Maria serves on the executive board of the Stanford Women on Boards Initiative, promoting gender diversity in corporate boardrooms, and is a power yoga instructor.
