Low Volume General Layouts

For when there's not a lot of content, stretch out and take a creative, impact-driven approach. It can feel like writers block, but these layouts often take on the most varied designs.

Notice how on many modern sites, there's a trend for single, long-scrolling pages; these too are often sections of low volume content, stacked on top of one another in a logical progression for marketing or education.

Click to cycle through some examples or use the blue arrows below.

Characteristics

Simple banner for section hero

This is not necessarly for content driven pages. Remember not to use images for image sake.

(H1) Low Volume...

...can also mean chopping content up into bite-sized pieces

(H1) A Single Descriptive Headline

Supported by a sentence or 2 of "Subheading Text" is another effective tactic for grabbing attention

Using "separator" component adds extra white space and breaks things up for readabilty on a low density page.

Setting the image to 50% in the "options" tab and centering means the image doesn't dominate the page so heavily.

(H1) Single Paragraph block

IT is best practive to keep your text in a 66% or less column for best readibilty. 100% is harder for users to read on a larger monitor and difficult for those with low vision or dyslexia. It is ok to leave white space on the right or drop in an image, share, button, etc for interest and usability.
