What we do

Our lab specializes in translational health policy with a focus on improving access and quality of care for vulnerable patients with colorectal disease. We utilize a comprehensive approach that includes integrated needs assessments, research methodologies designed to uncover causal mechanisms, community-based policy development, and continuous program evaluation to ensure that interventions are patient-centered and culturally appropriate.

To achieve our goals, we leverage a diverse array of research methodologies that combine quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods. Our expertise includes large database analyses (including claims and registry data), causal inference modeling, grounded theory, content analysis, and community-based participatory research.

Our ultimate goal is to help develop data-driven policy interventions that effectively address gaps in care through tailored solutions that improve health outcomes, enhance health equity, and foster the development of a more efficient and inclusive healthcare system.
