Cathevine Yang, MD

Dr. Cathevine Yang grew up in Vancouver, Canada. She graduated from McGill University Microbiology & Immunology with Honours. Following graduation, she undertook research at the BC Center for Disease Control identifying comparative genome sequencing methods of environmental microbes. She attended medical school at the University of British Columbia and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Adult Cardiology Fellowship training at UBC. During this time, she was active in research on spontaneous coronary artery dissection, and improving outcomes in patients with cardiogenic shock in the setting of acute coronary syndrome. She is currently completing her Masters of Public Health through Johns Hopkins University.  Dr Cathevine Yang plans to pursue a career as an academic interventional cardiologist, with a focus on coronary functional testing and percutaneous supports for the management of cardiogenic shock.
