Application Process
The application deadline is August 15 for the planned start of July 1. Interviews occur during the months of October and November. Applications will only be accepted through ERAS. All applicants must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited adult or pediatric cardiology fellowship prior to starting the Electrophysiology fellowship.
Requirements
- Completion and passing of all three USMLE steps
- ABIM board certified or board eligible in general adult or pediatric cardiology
- The accepted applicant must obtain a California medical license
- A valid ECFMG certificate for all foreign medical graduates
- Only J-1 visas accepted
- Completion of previous cardiology fellowship training is required

- Statement of professional and investigative interest (limit: one page)
- USMLE Transcript (Steps 1-3)
- Medical School Transcript
- ECFMG certificate for all foreign medical graduates
- Letters of Recommendation uploaded on ERAS (3)
- One of the 3 letters must be from Cardiology Fellowship Program Director or Chief of Cardiology
- Two other letters from cardiology faculty
NRMP Important dates:
- Match registration opens: August 24, 2022 (12:00pm ET)
- Ranking order list opens: September 28, 2022 (12:00pm ET)
- Rank order lists certification deadline will be: November 16, 2022 (9:00pm ET)
- Match Day: November 30, 2022 (12:00pm ET)
