VA Palo Alto Health Care System
VA Palo Alto operates one of the largest integrated health care systems in VA in terms of specialized programs, research and graduate medical education; primarily affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine. Referrals for arrhythmia care are received from across Nevada, Hawaii, and Northern California as well as the inpatient services, cardiac surgery, and structural interventional cardiology program.
The EP Lab at the VA includes two fully equipped catheterization laboratories with mapping systems, imaging, laser lead extraction, and cryoablation and radiofrequency ablation equipment. A hybrid catheter lab and operating room is currently under construction.
The Arrhythmia service has robust support from advanced practice practitioners, device clinic, and telemedicine support.
