Early Career Committee

The ECC organizes the monthly CVI Early Career Research Roundtable, which enhances the sense of community and improves cardiovascular research by facilitating sharing of insights and resources. The roundtable also allows early career researchers to find potential collaborators and develop their public speaking and critical thinking skills, preparing them for a successful career.

In addition, the ECC organizes the annual Early Career Symposium, which provides a platform for students, postdocs, and early career scientists to present their work, connect with peers and mentors, and receive recognition for outstanding contributions to cardiovascular research. The symposium includes faculty and early career speakers from Stanford and other institutions and aims to foster and expand the cardiovascular research community.

Through these initiatives, the ECC cultivates a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and professional development for early career researchers. The ECC is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in cardiovascular research and medicine and advancing scientific knowledge to improve health outcomes.

The ECC is supported by the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, which shares their commitment to creating an inclusive community of researchers, advancing cardiovascular science, and improving human health.
