Dr. Joseph Wu, Director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, Named President of the Association of University Cardiologists

We are proud to announce that Dr. Joseph C. Wu, Director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute and Simon H. Stertzer, MD, Professor of Medicine and Radiology at Stanford University, has been named President of the American Association of University Cardiologists (AUC).

Dr. Wu is a world-renowned cardiovascular physician-scientist whose research spans cardiovascular genomics, stem cell biology, precision medicine, and the development of “clinical trial in a dish” platforms to accelerate drug discovery and improve patient care. He has published hundreds of high-impact manuscripts and is recognized as one of the top cited researchers in cardiovascular science.

In his new role as AUC President, Dr. Wu will help lead a distinguished group of academic cardiologists dedicated to advancing cardiovascular research and training. His leadership reflects his longstanding commitment to excellence in science, mentorship, and collaboration within the cardiovascular community.
