Mission

The NSTC–Stanford Exchange Student Program is a collaborative initiative between Stanford University and Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). Designed for graduate students from Taiwan, the program offers participants the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience by working in Stanford laboratories. Through this immersive experience, students engage in cutting-edge scientific projects, build international research collaborations, and develop skills that prepare them for future academic and professional success in the global research community.

Structure

A two-year immersive training experience designed to prepare graduate students for successful careers in academic, clinical, and industry research environments. The program combines structured mentorship, professional development, and engagement with cutting-edge scientific research.

Goals

  • Provide individualized mentorship from postdoctoral fellows and faculty.
  • Foster career development through workshops, networking, and skill-building.
  • Expose students to state-of-the-art research and translational science.
  • Build a community of scholars dedicated to scientific excellence and collaboration.
