Modify a Clerkship
Minor changes to clerkship records should be reported to the SoM Registrar’s Office (medregistrar@stanford.edu) for review by the Assistant Registrar, Courses and the Associate Director of Clerkship Administration during the annual review of clerkship offerings. Examples of minor record changes are: clerkship director, coordinator, periods offered, and grammatical edits to descriptions.
Proposals for substantial changes to a clerkship require authorization. Examples of making substantial changes are: combining clerkships, altering training objectives, or changing a clerkship's structure. Use the Clerkship Modification Form (below) to obtain approval for substantial changes. Submit the form to the SoM Registrar’s Office (medregistrar@stanford.edu) for review by the Assistant Registrar, Courses and the Associate Director of Clerkship Administration. Then it will be forwarded to the Assistant Dean for Clerkship Education who will bring the proposal to the Required Clerkship Directors group for review. The proposal will be presented to the Committee on Curriculum and Academic Policy (CCAP) in the School of Medicine Faculty Senate for final approval.
