Dr. Huang and her team were selected for their project, "Microgravity as a Model for Studying Sarcopenia and Drug Screening." This innovative research leverages an upcoming 2025 flight to the International Space Station National Laboratory (ISSNL) to conduct drug screening in microgravity, providing new insights into muscle loss (sarcopenia) and potential treatments. The team will receive $50,000 in seed funding to advance this work.

This achievement highlights Dr. Huang’s contributions and Stanford’s leadership in pioneering solutions for healthy aging.
