The goal of the Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA) is to increase diversity in the health professions in order to better care for underserved communities. Our annual pre-health conference is one of the oldest on the West Coast and draws hundreds of students from throughout California and the nation. Although the goal of the SUMMA Conference is to increase diversity in the health professions, the conference is open to all students from all backgrounds interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
