CLARIOstar Plus (BMG) ChEM-H W008 & CCSR-0133 (w/Stackers)
The BMG CLARIOstarPlus is the HTS @ The Nucleus's most flexible multi-mode plate reader. It comes equipped with Linear Variable Filter Monochromators, filters, and spectrometer. It has the best sensitivity using Enhanced Dynamic Range technology and can read 6 to 1536-well microplate and can measure;
- Absorbance (220 nm-1,000 nm)
- Fluorescence Intensity (Ex 240nm-840 nm, Em 280 nm-900 nm)
- Fluorescence Polarization (FP, Filter-based, any fluorophore excited by any filter listed below)
- Time-resolved fluorescence (TRF, Filter-based)
- Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET, Filter-based)
- Homogeneous Time-Resolved Fluorescence (HTRF, Filter-based)
- Glow/Flash Chemiluminescence (320 - 740 nm) including BRET.
- AlphaScreen/AlphaLISA-only in CCSR
- Software data acquisition and analysis with Multi-user Reader Control and MARS Data Analysis Software.
The CLARIOstarPlus has an internal barcode readers and is extremely fast and sensitive andis used primarily for high-throughput screens and platform specific applications (FP, TRF, HTRF), but can also be used for simple plate based absorbance reads and luminescence reads. The CLARIOstarPlus is integrated into the HTS @ The Nucleus main robotic HTS system and therefore it's stand-alone usage will require pre-approval so as not to interfere with screening operations. For independent use, use the instrument in CCSR-0133.

Infinite M1000 and Infinite M1000 PRO (Tecan) CCSR-0133
HTS @ The NucleusThe Tecan Infinite M1000 and M1000 PRO are very flexible Quad4 monochromator-based 6 to 1536-well microplate reader and can measure;
- Absorbance (230 nm-1,000 nm)
- Fluorescence Intensity (Ex 230nm-850 nm, Em 280 nm-850 nm)
- Fluorescence Polarization (FP, Ex (LED): 470, 530, 590, 635 nm)
- Time-resolved fluorescence (TRF)
- Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET)
- Homogeneous Time-Resolved Fluorescence (HTRF)
- Glow/Flash Chemiluminescence with Dual Injectors for both 96 and 384-well plates.
- Software data acquisition and analysis with Tecan Magellan or iControl.
Both Tecans have Barcode Readers and are extremely fast and sensitive and can be used primarily for high-throughput screens and platform specific applications (FP, TRF, HTRF), but can also be used for simple plate based absorbance reads and injector based luminescence reads.
The HTS @ The Nucleus Tecan Infinite M1000 PRO also has 50-microplate stackers and the AlphaScreen module .
Flexstation II 384 (Molecular Devices) CCSR-0133
The FLEXstation II 384 (Molecular Devices, Inc.-Flex3 link -we don't have this) complements the Tecans, in that it has an internal 8- or 16-tip pipetting head and performs multi-label measurements [fluorescence, fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) and chemiluminescence] in real-time in 96 or 384 well format. This enhanced capability allows for kinetic studies of biological events, such as G protein-coupled receptor activation (via Calcium mobilization, ie FLIPR screens) and ion channel gating in live cells. The FLEXstation also can read 6-, and 24-well plates for applications such as measuring cell migration. The FLEXstation is used primarily for platform specific applications, assay development and medium throughput screens. Data acquisition and analysis is performed with Molecular Devices Softmax Pro.
AnalystGT (Molecular Devices) CCSR-0128--Inactive
The AnalystGT is very flexible filter-based 96-, 384-, and 1536-well microplate reader and can measure (see below for list of filters);

The HTS @ The Nucleus AnalystGT has 40-microplate stackers to allow its independent use. It is extremely fast and sensitive and was used primarily for high-throughput screens in conjection with the Caliper LS Staccator system and platform specific applications (FP, TRF, HTRF)
