Finishing touches

The new Stanford Hospital is preparing to open its doors later this year. While the construction crew paints the walls and adds other finishing touches, the moving crew is installing large medical equipment and furniture, as well as the last of the 300 pieces of artwork. In the spring, the 368 patient rooms and 3 acres of surgical space will be stocked with smaller equipment and supplies, and in the summer hospital staff will undergo training. The community will be invited to visit and tour the hospital before the first patient is admitted in the fall.
