AIM

  1. Answer the combined call from the AMA, AAMC, and ACGME to integrate coaching into medical education
  2. Develop and deliver coach training courses for educators across the arc of medical education: from UME, through GME, and into faculty development
  3. Democratize the benefits of coaching to our trainees
  4. Expand the availability of professional coaching

The AMA, AAMC, and ACGME are proposing integrating coaching into the arc of medical education. COACHME@Stanford is a new resource that will not only help you navigate this, but will also provide you with a powerful skillset in your day-to-day work. We are offering training courses for program directors, coach program leaders, advisors, mentors, and other core educators at the School of Medicine who are in roles for whom coaching would be of immediate utility.

These courses are designed for Stanford faculty as well as faculty from other institutions who are pursuing board certification.

Eligibility: Our COACHME courses are currently open only to holders of doctoral degrees in the health professions (including MD, PhD, PsyD, DNP).

All events and workshops will be delivered via zoom unless otherwise specified.

If you’re unsure about your affiliation, send us an email at coachme-team@stanford.edu—we’ll be happy to help.

Successful completion of all workshops in the 30-hour series (COACHME 101 through 901) qualifies participants to register for and take the Center for Credentialing & Education's (CCE) Board Certified Coach (BCC) exam upon meeting additional CCE requirements (Requirements | BCC (cce-global.org).
