Childx Symposium: The Junction of Science, Medicine, Public Policy and Healthcare Delivery

Statement of Need

This CME symposium will provide learners with insights into the natural history of disease and disabilities of children, the influence of stem cell biology and gene editing to modify disease and strategies to treat mental health in children and adolescents.  The connection between literacy and health will be presented as well as novel solutions to the childhood obesity epidemic.

  • Assess the impact that technology has on managing chronic disease and utilize data to manage children with chronic illnesses
  • Propose a strategy to promote literacy in your pediatric patients
  • Counsel parents on the critical role literacy holds toward the health and development of their children and family
  • Seek evolving best evidence in the management of childhood obesity
