The Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $40 million, supporting programs related to physician leadership, physician practice trends, physician shortage and health information technology (HIT). As the healthcare system in America continues to evolve, The Physicians Foundation is steadfast in its determination to strengthen the physician-patient relationship, and assist physicians in sustaining their medical practices. www.physiciansfoundation.org

The Stanford Model

The Stanford Medicine model for physician wellness is the organizing framework for this conference. The focus of both the model and the conference is on physician professional fulfillment, defined as happiness or meaningfulness, self-worth, self-efficacy and satisfaction at work. The model identifies three domains that need to be addressed to achieve fulfillment, a much higher goal than just reducing physician burnout.

A Continuing Medical Education Conference

Hosted by the Stanford University School of Medicine in collaboration with the American Medical Association and the Mayo Clinic.
