Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Apply the newest evidence-based treatments, protocols, and practice guidelines for:
    • Indication and interpretation of EKGs for coronary heart disease (CHD)
    • Indication and interpretation of CT Scans for thoracic aortic disease
    • Patient care post-biodegradable coronary stent placement
    • Higher risk of CVD in patients with rheumatologic disease
  • Develop strategies to treat, manage or refer patients for the following:
    • Appropriate referral and implementing post-procedure plans for atrial fibrillation (AF)
    • Lipid therapy using proprotein convertase subtilisin-kexin type 9 (PCSK9)
    • Managing Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD)
