Maternal and Child Health Research Institute

Share your latest research developments in maternal or child health, learn from experts in the field, and connect with your colleagues at the 2020 Virtual MCHRI Symposium! All abstracts will be reviewed for presentation at the virtual poster sessions of the symposium. Five abstracts will be selected from the submissions for oral presentations during the afternoon session of the virtual symposium.All Stanford individuals are encouraged to submit an abstract, whether or not you and the research were funded by MCHRI. MCHRI-funded faculty and trainees (past and current) are highly encouraged to submit an abstract. Presenting authors will be invited to share their scientific work with attendees in creative and interactive ways, through videos/animated research summaries, poster presentations, and video- conferencing.

Academic Pediatric Association

This annual meeting will be held virtually this year and is thus fairly easy for residents to get to for one or both days. This year they will be offering a travel scholarship for residents that can cover your gas/hotel fees. This meeting is a great opportunity to present your works-in-progress (usually PGY2 residents) or completed works (usually PGY3+ residents), especially in the areas of community engagement/advocacy, medical education, quality improvement, and global health. Annual Community Health Symposium

American Public Health Association Annual Meeting 2021

APHA champions the health of all people and all communities. They strengthen the public health profession and speak out for public health issues and policies backed by science. They are the only organization that combines a nearly 150-year perspective, a broad-based member community and the ability to influence federal policy to improve the public's health.
The theme of the meeting is Creating the Healthiest Nation: Preventing Violence. Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts on the theme and current and emerging public health issues.
