Led by Drs. Lisa Chamberlain, Janine Bruce, and Ryan Padrez, the lab seeks to ensure fair and just pediatric health outcomes for all children through a blend of interdisciplinary research, community partnerships, and multidivisional staff engagement.

Diapers at the Doctors

Led by Drs. Janine Bruce and Lisa Chamberlain, this analysis examines the impact of receiving diapers through a clinic-based intervention on both diaper and food insecurity.

Baby Bonus

Led by Drs. Lisa Chamberlain and Ryan Padrez, this project aims to evaluate the effects of new parents receiving monthly cash gifts and coordinated care supports for the first three years of life, as per the Baby Bonus Pilot Program in San Mateo County. 


Food Insecurity from Sub-specialists' Perspectives

Led by Dr. Janine Bruce, this study examines pediatric sub-specialists' perspectives on food insecurity, specifically investigating how household food insecurity can differentially impact health outcomes for critically and chronically ill children. 

Health Equity Alliance Evaluation

Led by Drs. Janine Bruce and Lisa Chamberlain, this evaluation examines the impact of engagement in health equity initiatives, focusing on participation levels,  perceptions of institutional support, the culture of collaboration, provider wellness and burnout, and qualitative feedback.
