Thank you for your interest in the Arbor/Pacific Free Clinic Immersion in Community Medicine program!
The Immersion in Community Medicine program was created to extend Arbor Free Clinic and Pacific Free Clinic’s mission of educating local high school students in the Bay Area. Its goals are:
- To inspire high school students to enter the field of medicine
- To foster valuable mentoring relationships with undergraduates, medical students, and physicians.
- To foster a sense of community service and engagement, especially in community health.
Overview
- Complete 5 educational sessions with Stanford physicians, medical students, and undergraduates over the course of 5 consecutive Saturdays in person and on zoom. (10:30am-12:00pm)
- Work with your program peers to create a project and presentation about a common health problem affecting the Bay Area community.

The ICM program for Summer 2025 is five weeks long, no cost, and will host zoom sessions on Saturdays, 06/28, 07/12, 07/19, 07/26 and Sunday, 8/3. Our last session will be an in-person symposium at Stanford University Medical School on Sunday, August 3rd.
Note: We will be not be hosting a session on July 5th in observance of 4th of July.
