2nd Annual Center for Definitive and Curative Medicine (CDCM) Symposium
Innovations in the Pipeline to Curative Medicines
Tuesday, February 27, 2018 | Berg Hall, Li Ka Shing Learning Center, Stanford Medical School - 291 Campus Drive, Stanford, CA 94305
The newly-launched CDCM is a joint initiative of the Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children’s Health. The Center provides the organizational and physical infrastructure to support investigator-initiated clinical translational studies on stem cell and gene therapy from initial discovery through completion of clinical proof-of-concept studies. This year's symposium is sponsored by Child Health Research Institute (CHRI) and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH). The CDCM is co-directed by Drs. Maria Grazia Roncarolo, Anthony Oro, and Matthew Porteus.
This scientific conference will bring together clinicians, basic scientists, patient advocates, translational investigators and experts from the biotech/pharmaceutical field to discuss the process of how discoveries in gene and cell therapy are translated to clinical trials and ultimately commercialized.
The 2018 Symposium will be comprised of four sessions:
1. New Cell-Based-Medicine Discoveries
2. Pre-Clinical Development of Curative Medicines
3. Clinical Trials in Curative Medicines
4. Challenges in Development and Commercialization of Curative Medicines
Registration is free but space is limited. This event sold out in 2017.
