The Junior Faculty Forum, offered by the Stanford Cancer Institute (SCI) Cancer Research Training and Education Core (CRTEC), offers a personalized platform to meet the specific learning needs of early-career faculty. The forum is designed to foster professional growth and a strong sense of community, providing opportunities for networking, research advancement, and lab development through structured quarterly seminars. Topics are carefully curated by SCI Cancer Research Training and Education based on feedback from each cohort, ensuring that the content addresses the unique challenges of junior faculty and supports their long-term career development.

Launched in 2023 under the leadership of James Ford, MD, former associate director of CRTEC and professor of medicine (oncology) and genetics, the forum has been instrumental in creating a collaborative and supportive environment for early-career researchers. Stanford junior faculty are invited to join the 2025 forum, with quarterly meetings beginning in late January 2025.
