Dinah Trevil joins the Stanford Cancer Institute

We are thrilled to announce that Dinah Trevil, MPA, has joined the Stanford Cancer Institute (SCI) as the inaugural SCI Office of Cancer Health Equity Senior Program Director following a national search.

Dinah has over 15 years at the University of Miami, most recently as the Director of Community Outreach and Engagement at the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

She brings:

  • Extensive experience in Public Health, community outreach and cancer research, and experience working with diverse communities.
  • A history of working closely with key stakeholders in both an academic and community settings.
  • Leadership and oversight of all outreach efforts including strategic planning, developing program initiatives and engaging with local and national stakeholders.

Dinah will build and lead SCI’s SCI Office of Cancer Health Equity design and manage a portfolio to reduce the overall cancer burden and cancer disparities in our catchment area and beyond through research, education, and community outreach and engagement.

She will work closely with the leadership of SCI Office of Cancer Health Equity and the amazing team to develop strategies and deploy tactics to address unmet needs in our catchment area related to persistent health inequities and access to cancer care services and clinical trials. Additionally, she will engage closely with SCI Associate Directors, Research Program Leaders, Cancer Clinical Trials team members, and administrative leaders; across Stanford Medicine and the School of Medicine including our partners in Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children’s Health; with our SCI Office of Cancer Health Equity  Community Advisory Board; and with so many others.
