Stanford is proud to have 26 presenters at the 67th annual American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting.
Stanford physician-scientist Bryant Lin, MD, MEng, will deliver the keynote presentation, “Hope, Research, and the Cancer Patient.” Lin was diagnosed with stage IV ‘never-smoker’ lung cancer and used it to create an opportunity to foster dialogue with medical students to help them better understand the cancer patient experience.
Stanford Cancer Institute leader Quynh-Thu Le, MD, FACR, FASTRO, will receive the Gold Medal Award, ASTRO’s highest honor for esteemed members who have made outstanding contributions to radiation oncology. Le is widely recognized for her national leadership and groundbreaking research that has advanced our understanding of precision radiation oncology, biological determinants of radiation response, and head and neck cancer treatment.
