Cancer Biology and Cancer Stem Cells
The Cancer Biology and Cancer Stem Cells Program is focused on investigating the mechanisms and signaling pathways involved in the development and progression of cancer, including pathways critical for self-renewal of stem cells, in normal tissues and in cancer. The goals are to advance basic understanding of cancer pathogenesis and to facilitate the translation of basic science discoveries into the clinical arena in order to improve the outcomes of patients with cancer.
