Wes Brown, MD, was a Professor of Medicine-Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMT) and an Infectious Disease specialist. Wes dedicated her career to Stanford, its BMT Program, and its patients. She is remembered for delivering superlative patient care and for many contributions to the field including establishing the basis for a dedicated BMT-CT immune compromised host service, developing and leading novel clinical trials, studying transplant-related immune deficiencies and devising translatable ways to overcome them, and mentoring and supporting numerous trainees.
