The Stanford Cancer Institute invites you to an afternoon exploring advances in cancer science and treatment, as well as celebrating Dr. Beverly Mitchell, at Perspectives on Progress in Cancer: A Tribute to Dr. Beverly Mitchell. 

The event will feature eminent speakers, such as National Cancer Institute Director Kimryn Rathmell, MD, PhD, who will share their insights into the progress scientists have made in understanding cancer biology and developing more effective treatments. We will also honor the leadership and contributions of Beverly Mitchell, MD, George E. Becker Professor of Medicine and former Stanford Cancer Institute Director.  

This half-day symposium will take place on November 21, 2024, 1-5:30 p.m., at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center and will be followed by a post-event reception from 5:30 - 7 p.m.

The event is open to our Stanford Medicine communities. To assist with planning efforts, we encourage you to register by November 1, 2024.
