To optimize the potential of Stanford Medicine Box, tailor how you use it to best suit your individual needs.
Upload Files Without Logging In
There are two ways you can upload files into your Stanford Medicine Box account without issuing read/edit access.
Email - Create a unique email address to send attached files to a designated folder.
A common use case for this method would be to use the email address for the Scan-to-Email function on your multi-copier. This enables you to scan documents directly into Box. You can also share the email address with your staff or external vendors. That way, they'll be able to directly upload documents, including those with sensitive information, into your Box folder.
Please note: This method is NOT approved for use with High Risk Data.
URL - Integrate an upload tool into your website to that will enable others to upload files into your folder, if you give them permission.
Transfer Bulk Files
Need to upload multiple files or folders? Here's a solution.
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Client - This method provides an easy and reliable way to transfer large quantities of files.
A common use case for using an FTP client is when you initially migrate from a file-server or other large storage devices to Box. Please contact IRT for assistance.
