Mission Statement
The mission of the BMT-CT Inclusivity committee is to both assess and ensure that the environment and culture of the BMT-CT Division is inclusive, welcoming, and supportive of all members of our community and that we provide the best possible environment for each individual’s success. Inclusivity improves the educational experience, strengthens our team, and helps us take care of our patients from multicultural backgrounds. We welcome and value all aspects of human differences such as race, ethnicity, language, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, geography, age and disability.
Goals
Immediate committee goals:
Continuously assess and identify BMT-CT structure or practice areas of concern
Identify meaningful metrics of BMT-CT Division’s inclusion that we will monitor for improvement
Propose new diversity and inclusion initiatives across BMT-CT Division, hospital units, clinics, and labs
