Body MRI Research Group
The Body Magnetic Resonance (BMR) Group aims to develop new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods and apply them to improve clinical care in body and musculoskeletal imaging. Our current focus applications are breast MRI, abdominal MRI, MRI of osteoarthritis and MRI near metallic implants.
Our group, directed by Brian Hargreaves, is part of the Radiological Sciences Lab in the Department of Radiology within the School of Medicine at Stanford University. Students in our group are primarily from the departments of Electrical Engineering and Bioengineering.
BMR research area cover a spectrum from basic MRI theory to development of new methods to applications and translation to clinical practice. Many of our projects include links between basic science, clinical imaging, and industry.
