Helen Blau elected to EMBO
The European Molecular Biology Organization, or EMBO, is an organization of more than 2,000 leading researchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences in Europe and beyond. The major goals of the organization are to:

Associate Membership is reserved for a small number of leading scientists outside Europe and is intended to highlight the importance of interacting with scientists on a global scale.
EMBO funds or co-funds over 90 meetings involving more than 11,000 participants every year and publishes five peer-reviewed scientific journals: The EMBO Journal, EMBO Reports, Molecular Systems Biology, EMBO Molecular Medicine, and Life Science Alliance,
