Outpatient Treatment Program
The Bipolar Disorders Clinic offers state-of-the-art outpatient treatment for eligible individuals ages 18 and older suffering from bipolar disorders.

Evaluation Only
We are available on a limited basis for one-time consultations for bipolar patients and their providers desiring evaluation and treatment recommendations. A consultation appointment lasts about 2 hours and includes a review of psychiatric records and a comprehensive report which is faxed to the referring provider. Patients are encouraged to bring a family member or significant other to evaluations. For more information, please call (650) 498-9111 to discuss insurance coverage or private patient payment.
Who Is Eligible for Ongoing Treatment?
Eligible patients are those with Bipolar Disorder type I or II who live close enough to Stanford University to be able to visit the clinic regularly. Patients may not have schizoaffective disorder, borderline personality disorder, serious eating disorders, or active substance abuse.
