Becoming a Patient

The Bipolar Disorders Clinic offers state-of-the-art outpatient treatment for eligible individuals ages 18 and older suffering from bipolar disorders.

All patients under age 18 are treated in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. For more information, please call (650) 723-5511 or visit Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

We are available on a limited basis for one-time consultations for patients and their providers desiring evaluation and treatment recommendations. A consultation appointment lasts about 2 hours and includes a review of psychiatric records and a comprehensive report which is faxed to the referring provider. Patients are encouraged to bring a family member or significant other to evaluations.
