The Beckman Symposium

Since 1989, the Beckman Center has hosted the Beckman Symposium, a periodic conference focused on topics of major international scientific importance.

A Gathering of World Experts

The Beckman Symposium is designed to bring together experts from around the world to discuss their latest research discoveries, share information concerning new and innovative research approaches and technologies, and discuss the need for further investigation.

The symposia have not only served as a means for integrating and sharing complex research information on important topics, but have also served as inspiration and road maps for young investigators who have a strong interest in pursuing the topic.

Past Symposia

Listed below are symposia hosted by the Beckman Center since its inception in 1989. The topics chosen have all centered around scientific questions of importance to the international scientific community and, in many cases, pointed to future discoveries and unpredictable events, such as the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
