Beckman Community Engagement Grants
Overview
Beckman Community Engagement Grants support collaborative projects that bring together faculty, staff, and trainees across Beckman departments to address shared challenges, explore new ideas, and strengthen connections within our Beckman community. Innovative and impactful work often emerges when people with different disciplinary perspectives, methodologies, and/or lived experiences come together around a common purpose. The Community Engagement program is designed to lower the barriers to collaboration, providing funding, structure, and visibility for projects that are beyond a single department's scope or budget.
Grant Eligibility and Funding
Faculty, trainees, or staff members affiliated with the Beckman Center are eligibile to serve as lead applicants for a Beckman Community Engagement Grant. Proposals must involve meaningful participation from at least two departments, TRC, or administrative units.
Eligible expenses include personnel time, event or workshop costs, materials and supplies, and other direct project costs. Awardees will be announced quarterly.
