We are pleased to announce that Megan Mayerle, PhD will be joining the Beckman Center for Molecular and Genetic Medicine as our new Associate Director, effective Monday, November 17, 2025.
Megan brings over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in research administration, finance, human resources, and operations, most recently serving as the Associate Director of Research Development, Finance, and Administration at the Stanford Medicine Baxter Laboratory for Stem Cell Biology. She holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from Johns Hopkins University and was a postdoctoral fellow at University of California San Francisco. As a recent Marsh O’Neill Award for Exceptional and Enduring Support of Stanford’s Research Enterprise nominee, Megan has a proven track record in her dedication to operational excellence and commitment to advancing Stanford’s mission. With her combined background in bench science and a deep understanding of the importance of core research centers, we are excited to have her join the Beckman Center.
We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Andrew Sit, MBA, who has served as Interim Associate Director since September 1, 2025. During this time, Andrew has successfully steered our organization through a critical transition while maintaining strong team morale. His dedication and leadership have been invaluable.
