Mark Shepard, MPH, is retiring from his position as associate director of the Beckman Center for Molecular and Genetic Medicine, effective August 31, 2025.
Mark has provided exceptional service and leadership to Stanford University, the School of Medicine, and the Beckman Center for twenty years. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for his significant contributions to our organization and wish him all the best in this exciting new chapter of his life.
To ensure continuity of operations and maintain the high standards of excellence our community expects while we are recruiting a new associate director, Andrew Sit, MBA, will assume the role of interim associate director, effective September 1, 2025. Andrew brings considerable expertise to this position, having served with distinction at the Beckman Center since 2018. His comprehensive knowledge of the Beckman Service Centers as well as CMGM finances, administration, and operations makes him exceptionally well qualified to guide our team during this transition period.
We will provide an update regarding the search process for a permanent associate director in the coming weeks. We appreciate your continued support as we navigate this leadership transition and remain committed to the seamless delivery of our programs and services.
