For Staff - Paychecks and Direct Deposit

Paychecks are received twice a month, on the 7th and 22nd. If a payday falls on a weekend or holiday, payment is made on the preceding Friday. Information on how to read your paycheck is available on the Fingate web site.

Review paychecks each period and report any discrepancies as follows:

  • if the gross pay is incorrect, contact Elsie Wang (regular staff, faculty, and post-docs) or Shauna Cruz (casual, temp, and student temps)
  • if the tax withheld is incorrect, contact the Payroll Office (723-2259) or you can now modify your W-4 on-line
  • if your benefits deductions are incorrect, contact the Benefits Office (736-2985) or benefitsu@stanford.edu

For setting up direct deposit, log in to the Axess web site (using your SUNet ID) and follow the link for "direct deposit" to enter or change your direct deposit information. There is more information about direct deposit on the Financial Activities web site. Also, you can access paycheck, holiday, and other information on the Axess web site. (If you are unable to access the Axess web site, you can request direct deposit using the Automatic Deposit Form.)

If you change your home address or phone number, be sure to update it on the Stanford.You web site and submit a new Personal Information Form to Medicine HR (this will ensure you receive your W2 forms).
