Virtual Clinical Anatomy Summer Program

The Virtual Clinical Anatomy Summer Program (Virtual CASP) at Stanford University is for high school students considering careers in medical and health-related fields, such as medicine, surgery, dentistry, EMT/paramedics, nursing, biomedical engineering, occupational therapy, physical therapy, sports medicine, and medical education. 

This virtual, 3 day long course will introduce students to the anatomy of the human body. Students will attend lectures given by Stanford Medicine faculty, engage in virtual anatomy demonstrations, and explore how VR technology is used to teach and learn anatomy. 

Virtual CASP 2024 will be held June 12-14 from 9AM - 5PM PDT. The program is entirely virtual and will be held via Zoom and VR platforms. Students are welcome to apply to be part of the program from any geographical location, though please note sessions will be held live.  

Age Requirement:

Students must be at least 14 years old at the start date of virtual CASP in order to participate.

Program Fee: 

The Virtual CASP program fee is $2,000. Program fee includes Oculus Quest 2 headset and program materials such as a beginner suture kit, stethoscope, and blood pressure cuff, which will be sent to students. Upon acceptance into the program, a $1,000 non-refundable tuition deposit will be due. The remaining balance of $1,000 due at the enrollment deadline, May 19th, 2024. The tuition deposit and remaining tuition balance can be paid at the same time. 

*In the event of program cancellation by Stanford Clinical Anatomy, a full refund will be given. 

Application: 

Applications for Virtual CASP will open Friday, November 3, 2023 at 9:00 AM PST and close on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST. Students are asked to submit unofficial transcripts and a personal statement as part of the application process. Students will be accepted to the program on a rolling basis.
