High School Tours

Our tours will give students an opportunity to view the Stanford anatomy labs and engage with both virtual and real anatomical specimens. 

A typical tour format will include an overview of the Division of Clinical Anatomy, including an introduction to our classes, faculty and staff, and our Anatomical Gift Program. Students will then be given the opportunity to experience our bone collection or select specimens from our prosection library with an overview of the related anatomy and physiology. Students will also experience our Anatomage table and learn about the benefits of virtual dissection and view a few case studies presented on the Anatomage table.

Cost: $50 per student

Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours

Group sizes: usually range from 15-40 students. Special arrangements can be made for smaller or larger groups.

These tours are reserved for High School and Community College groups. We are not currently offering private tours of the anatomy lab. To learn about upcoming Open Houses or other events hosted by Clinical Anatomy, subscribe to our Clinical Anatomy Events Mailing List.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, all participants must be at least 15 years old to tour our facilities.

Yes, we require at least 15 people in order to host a group tour of the anatomy lab. If there aren't enough people in your group, we may be able to coordinate joining another scheduled tour group in order to meet the minimum number of participants, though this will be dependent on current reservations and availability.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accomodate individual tours of the anatomy lab. Our high school tours are reserved for groups of 15 or more students and are coordinated through the faculty of the high schools and colleges.
