In part one of this two-part workshop, participants will learn how to improve and maintain good posture in everyday life as well as in the workplace using simple Pilates and yoga poses. Special attention will be given to treating the physical discomfort in the back, shoulders and neck, which results from providing dental care and administrative responsibilities. In part two, each participant will be guided in fine-tuning their exercises for maximum benefit.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand proper posture positions to prevent physical injury
  2. Improve one’s posture through yoga and Pilates exercises
  3. Treat physical discomfort in the neck, back and shoulders with simple yoga and Pilates exercises


Miki Bousso, is a Certified Yoga Therapist and highly acclaimed yoga and Pilates instructor. She is trained in Vinyoga, Iyengar Yoga, Anusara Yoga, Stott Pilates, and Yoga for Special Needs. She teaches classes through Los Altos Recreation.
