2022 Sterling Award Winner: Yvonne A. Maldonado, MD '81

J. E. Wallace Sterling Lifetime Achievement Award in Medicine (MD alumni only)

We are seeking nominations for the 2023 JE Wallace Sterling Lifetime Achievement Award in Medicine.  In 1983 the Stanford Medicine Alumni Association established this Sterling Award.  It is awarded annually to a Stanford University School of Medicine MD graduate in recognition of his or her exceptional lifetime achievement in medicine. MD graduates of the Stanford School of Medicine who received their degree at least 25 years ago are eligible to be nominated.  Please nominate individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the advancement of medicine and healthcare during their careers. 

 

Arthur Kornberg and Paul Berg Lifetime Achievement in Biomedical Sciences (MD, PHD)

In 2010, the Stanford Medicine Alumni Association (SMAA)  Board of Governors established the award to acknowledge and celebrate the lifetime research achievements of Stanford University School of Medicine alumni in the biomedical sciences. This award was named in honor of Arthur Kornberg, MD, and Paul Berg, PhD, for their pioneering contributions to biomedical science and their service to Stanford.The complete list of award recipients since 2010 can be seen at:

https://med.stanford.edu/alumni/events/kornberg-berg-award.html Graduates of any of Stanford’s Biosciences PhD programs or of the Stanford MD or MD/PHD programs are eligible to be nominated.  Nominees should have received their degree at least 25 years ago.
