The article highlights how our findings demonstrate the potential of AI to extract information from medical charts at scale, ultimately improving ADHD care quality.

Our lab’s study on rates of parent training in behavior management (PTBM), based on electronic health records from the Packard Children’s Health Alliance in the Bay Area, was featured in U.S. News & World Report. The article highlights our key finding that most preschoolers with ADHD are not referred to PTBM—the gold-standard behavioral therapy recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics—and underscores the urgent need for improved provider training and greater access to evidence-based care for young children with ADHD.
