Latest information on COVID-19

Welcome to the Wood Lab website!

We are driven to develop new therapies and approaches for patients without viable treatment options. While our clinical and surgical work is focused on retinal disease, our laboratory work functions as an interdisciplinary collaboration between the department of ophthalmology and cardiovascular institute (CVI) at Stanford University. This collaboration serves as a competitive advantage through leveraging creativity, translational exchange of ideas, and research expertise in our connected fields. Our research interests are significantly inspired by our patients, and we are driven towards not only delivering the highest quality of care currently available, but also in developing the future standard of care in the fields of medical and surgical retina and cardiology.

Medical student seeking input from guide dog owners, experts, and enthusiasts:

One of Dr. Wood's researchers is conducting a project on the emotional and physical impacts of getting a guide dog. If you are a guide dog owner (or expert or enthusiast) or an ophthalmologist who has insight to share, please email Christine at cxu7@stanford.edu for more details.
