Rehman Ali wins NDSEG Fellowship
Electrical Engineering Graduate Student and Dahl Lab member Rehman Ali has been selected by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) to receive the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship. The NDSEG fellowship awards a stipend and covers full graduate tuition for 4 years, and is sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the Army Research Office (ARO), and the Office of Naval Research (ONR), under the direction of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E). The fellowship may be awarded to US citizens who intend to pursue a doctoral degree in one of 15 science and engineering disciplines.
The NDSEG fellowship is highly competitive, with a pool of 3500 eligible applicants this year. Rehman looks forward to utilizing the NDSEG support to pursue advanced engineering coursework and further his own research within the Dahl ultrasound lab.
